Japanese International Friendship Exchange Council would work for the development of business relationship between India and Japan, its Chairman Kenichi Watanabe has said. Watanabe, who is heading a 10-member business delegation, said FDI and trade flows had not reached the desired level despite the close relationship between the two countries.
He was speaking at an interactive session organised by the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) here on Wednesday. PHDCCI President Mahesh Gupta said the key areas where India and Japan can expand economic cooperation are next generation infrastructure, modernisation of Indian Railways and introduction of high-speed trains, smart cities, healthcare, renewable energy, defence and financial services.
