AirAsia India, on Monday, launched a Kolkata-Ranchi-Delhi double daily flight.
The double daily service will take the Kolkata-Ranchi-Delhi route and return along the same route on the same day.
The first departure from Kolkata was flagged off by Deepak Mahendra, Chief Financial Officer, AirAsia India, and Kesavan Sivanandam, Director, Customer Experience and Ground Operations, AirAsia India, the company said in a release.
In Ranchi, Raghubar Das, Chief Minister, Jharkhand flagged off the first flight to New Delhi in the presence of Amar Abrol, MD & CEO, AirAsia India and Kiran Jain, Commercial Director, AirAsia India, it further added.
AirAsia (India) Ltd is a joint venture between Tata Sons Ltd and AirAsia, with AirAsia Investment and Tata Sons holding 49 per cent each; S Ramadorai (Chairman) and R Venkataramanan, two directors of the company in their individual capacity hold 0.5 per cent and 1.5 per cent shareholding respectively.
