VO Chidamabaranar Port Trust in Tuticorin and Tuticorin Container Freight Station Association have jointly announced that India’s First Container Digital Exchange (Codex) will go live on July 1.
The platform was successfully processed in over 42,000 containers during pilot run of the project, thereby eliminating paper documents accompanying container movement at the port.
Association president David Raja in a press release said all the major stakeholders, including shippers, shipping lines and agents, will now have complete access to container movement through both online portal and the mobile application.
Kale Logistics Solutions, which developed Codex, announced the Go Live of the platform at the end of three months of pilot run.
The Go Live was executed today by the Chief Commissioner of Customs Chennai Pranab Kumar Das, VOC Port Trust S Anantha Chandra Bose and Commissioner of Customs Tuticorin KC Johny at a function in Tuticorin, the release said.
