MEP Infrastructure Developers has announced the winning of a contract for toll collection at the Delhi entry points from specified commercial vehicles for a period of five years.
The company will act as a the contractor for South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC), which is the lead Corporation acting on behalf of all the three Corporations for Toll and Environment Compensation Charges (ECC) collection, for a period of five years for ₹1,206 crore a year payable to SDMC on a weekly basis.
The operations will begin after complying with the statutory formalities, including submission of Performance Security and signing of contract, the company said in a statement.
The company currently has six toll collection projects, three operation and maintenance (OMT) projects and one build-operate-transfer (BOT) project.
MEP has recently made its foray into the EPC space with the win of six hybrid annuity model (HAM) projects in Maharashtra and Gujarat. The company has completed 116 projects, with an aggregate of 218 toll plazas and 1,349 lanes.
