At the board meeting held on Thursday, Bangalore International Airport Ltd (BIAL) announced the induction of new members to its board of directors: Marcel Hungerbuehler (former CEO of BIAL from November 2008- February 2011) and Hari Marar were appointed as new Directors on the Board.
Harsha Raghavan will take on the role of Managing Director at BIAL, while Hari Marar will be Executive Director and President at BIAL. Reconstitution of the BIAL board of directors follows the acquisition of the residual 10 per cent stake of GVK in BIAL by FIH Mauritius Investments Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Fairfax India Holdings Corporation.
The board, under the stewardship of Chairman Subhash Chandra Khuntia, Karnataka Chief Secretary, will work towards the speedy implementation of crucial capacity expansion projects.
