Natrual gas production in the country fell 3.4 per cent to 2.896 billion cubic meters in December 2014 from 3.001 billion cubic meters in the same month previous year.
Production from offshore fields during the month dropped 4.2 per cent to 2.134 billion cubic meters from 2.228 billion cubic meters.
Domestic crude oil production also fell around 1.4 per cent to 3.210 million tonnes from 3.256 mt in the same month last year.
Meanwhile, refinery throughput in the country improved 6 per cent in December. Total crude throughput at refineries in December was at 19.726 mt against 18.600 mt in the same month last year.
