The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has extended by three days the time limit for payment of advance tax for the March instalment.
The final instalment of advance tax for financial year 2013-14 was required to be paid on or before March 15 by taxpayers who are liable to pay advance tax.
The CBDT has now said that taxpayers can now pay their final advance tax instalment by March 18 without entailing any consequential interest for deferment.
