The Finance Ministry has imposed definitive anti-dumping duty on ‘poly vinyl chloride paste/emulsion resin’ imports from Norway and Mexico. The petition seeking anti-dumping duty on “Poly Vinyl Chloride Paste/Emulsion Resin”—also called Emulsion PVC Resin”—was filed by Chemplast Sanmar Ltd, Chennai.
The common applications of PVC Paste Resin are in production of artificial leather (rexene, coated fabrics, tarpaulins, conveyer beltings, toys, automotive sealant, adhesives etc).
The anti-dumping duty ranged from $309-$429 per tonne depending on the exporter and the country of export (Norway and Mexico)
