Computer Usage Columns - Tip Off Installing new fonts
I have the following system: Celeron 17 Ghz with 40 GB HDD, 256 MB DRAM with Win 98 SE. The problem is that there is no "Install New Font" option/menu item available under "Control Panel - Fonts". But this option is available in other Win 98 PCs that I have worked on. How do I get it in my PC? Please suggest a solution. Menon All the installed fonts in the system are stored in a folder called "Fonts", which you can find in the path c:\windows\fonts. The "Fonts" folder must have the "System" attribute set. Only then will you have the "Install New Font" option in the fonts icon in the control panel. To enable this, please do the following: click on Start -{gt} Run and type in Command. When the command prompt appears, go to the location c:\windows and type "attrib +s fonts". This will set the "System" attribute on for the fonts folder. Now you will have the "Install new fonts" in the fonts icon.
