Hiding Add/Remove icon from Control panel

I have a Pentium III PC with Windows 98. As it is a multi-user PC, I want to hide Add/Remove program from Control panel. Please suggest a solution.

Abhijit Datta

Each icon in the Control Panel is a .cpl file and to hide the Add/Remove icon form the control panel, please open control.ini file.

You will find it in the Windows directory. Please add the section (don't load) and list the files you want to hide. In your case, it will be like this,

(don't load)

Appwiz.cpl=no
