Computer Usage Columns - Tip Off Booting trouble
My system hangs when I power it after a rest. Sometimes it hangs after the message, DMI Pool data (after the process of POST), or when Windows (ME and XP) is being started. I've tried formatting my HDD and reinstalling Windows (both ME and XP). I have a 160 MB RAM (128+32), Sis 300/305, 32 MB AGP Card, Celeron 433 MHZ CPU, 40 GB Samsung HDD and a 56 KBPS internal modem. I have to restart my system several times to get it started normally. But I am able to start my system in safe mode without any problem. Please suggest a solution. - Gaurav Saxena DMI (Desktop Management Interface) Pool data is the last piece of code run by the BIOS which does the final check on the hardware detected and stored in the BIOS. The system may hang at this stage due to incorrect hardware setting, which includes incorrect over clocking and faulty hardware. This problem may also occur because of corrupt MBR (Master Boot Record) of the HDD. You can try the following steps one by one and check if your problem is solved.
