Access denied!

I am unable to access any Web site, which requires me to further open another link or page. When I click on any such connecting link, I have to the wait for hours and the new page/link never opens and the Internet application finally just hangs. What could be the reason for this? Please suggest a solution. - G. Rajagopal

This is a recurring problem with IE 5.0. In order to solve the problem, please enable HTTP 1.1 support in the browser. Please adhere to the following steps to do it: Open IE go to Tools -{gt} Internet Options -{gt} Advanced tab, click to select the "Use HTTP 1.1 Through Proxy Connections" check the box and click OK.
