Trouble saving Web page

My computer operates on Windows 98 and IE 6. Of late, I've found that I'm not able to save any Web page on my PC. Whenever I try to do so, I get the following error message: "Error Saving Web Page. The web page could not be saved to the selected location." After that, the saving process is turned off and I'm unable to save any Web page as a result. Please suggest a solution.

There has always been a problem in saving Web pages created using Excel 2000. Please try saving your page in a different format. If you get this error for all sites and even after trying to save them in different formats, then you will need to repair your IE installation. To do this, please go to the Add/Remove icon and select IE 6 installation, then click remove; in the dialog box that pops up select repair; Microsoft recommends that you apply the SP1 patch for your IE 6 which is available at the following URL: http://support.microsoft.com/?id=322928.
