Computer Usage Columns - Tip Off Changing icons
I use Windows XP Professional as my OS. I want to change the icons of Recycle Bin, My Documents and My Computer. Please tell me how I go about it. Arjun To do this, from your desktop screen, right click and select properties. Then please select Desktop option, wherein you will find a "Customize Desktop" button. When you click that, you will find a list of icons representing your "My Computer"," Recycle bin" and others. Please select the icon you want to change and click on the "Change Icon" button. A list of icons will be displayed, from which you can select or click on the "Browse" button to locate icon files in your hard disk or CDs. You can also download icons from the Internet; icon files are, by default, with the extension .ico. Finally click on the "Apply" and "Ok" Buttons.
Please e-mail us at eworld@thehindu.co.in if you have queries on computer usage or if you find an interesting way of using a computer.
