Computer Usage Columns - Tip Off Installing Flash 5
I have a Pentium III, 733 Mzh, 128 RAM computer with Windows 98 SE as the OS. When I install Flash 5, the system shows "Error No. ox80070725, Description incompatible of the RPC stub". However, I am able to install the same in a Pentium I computer. How do I install the Flash 5 in Pentium III? What is RPC stub? Please suggest a solution. G. Banerjee This problem occurs when there are "Mixed Versions" of .dll files, which might lead to incompatibility. Microsoft has a solution for this. You can download it from http://download.microsoft.com/download/msninvestor/Patch/1.0/WIN98/EN-US/mcrepair.EXE, run it and, when it prompts you to overwrite newer files, click Yes for each file. Our Web site has more information on similar issues. http://www.thehindubusinessline.com/ew/2004/10/18/stories/200410- 1800200400.htm http://www.blonnet.com/ew/2003/04/23/stories/2003042300290401- .htm
