Recently I upgraded my computer to Pentium 4. Other specifications of the system are: Intel Processor 2.4 GHz, Intel Motherboard D845 GVSR, 20 GB HDD and 256 MB RAM.

At the time of upgrading, I had also formatted the hard disk and reloaded all my files into the existing three partitions and also loaded Windows 98 SE in Partition C.

I am now facing the following problems: (1) Sometimes, when I start the computer, a blue screen appears with the following message while the OS is being loaded: "An exception 0E has occurred at 0028:FF0E1A87 in VxD_ _ _. This was called from 0028:C00A8756 in VxD_ _ _. It may be possible to continue normally. *Press any key to attempt to continue Press Alt+Cont+Del to restart. Press any key to continue.."

(2) Sometimes, after I close a Web site I have visited, the image/words move up and down rapidly, and the computer hangs with a jumbled image of the site on the screen. What causes these problems? Please suggest a solution.

It would have been very helpful if you had provided the name of the VxD file. The error message would have displayed a file name after "0028:C00A8756 in VxD". The next time you see this error, please note down the file name and then go to the following site: http://www.helpwithwindows.com/techfiles/fatal-0e-errors.html

Here, a list of 0E 0028 errors is available. Please look for the 0E error which has the same file name as the one you have noted down, and then click on the Microsoft article number given there.

This will take you to the Microsoft support site where you will find a step-by-step procedure to solve the problem.
