Betting on smart search

Imation India says its `Disc Stakka,' launched some time ago in the domestic market, is sure to become a "hot favourite" in the coming months.

A single unit of the Disc Stakka, an external storage device to manage your disc collection, holds up to 100 discs, of all varieties of 12 cm discs, and can be connected to your home or office computer via a single USB connection. It works on bundled software called OpdiTracker. OpdiTracker includes a search engine that scans the database, by disc title, a keyword, filename and other search options. Once you've located the right disc, the device ejects it within seconds, so you don't waste precious time hunting for your discs.
