Spike buster

What is a spike buster? Please explain.

Geetha Anju

A spike buster is electrical equipment used to protect the electronic devices connected to it from electrical spikes. Spikes are high voltages, normally a few times higher than the normally expected voltages. Spikes don't last for a long time. They last for a short duration, typically less than a millisecond. The spike buster will suppress these surges and will give an electrical output without the surges.
