The South Africa-based Sahara Computers and Electronics Ltd has announced the availability in India of its latest Intel Celeron-based notebook at a price of Rs 25,999. The notebook, NB5610-L1, is targeted at students, young executives, and the small office home office (SOHO) segment, among others, says the company.
For mobile computing OQO has unveiled the Tablet Edition of its newest ultra mobile computer, the OQO model 01+. It is the size of a hand-held and as powerful as a full-size notebook computer, according to an online press release. Ideal for mobile professionals, sales and service professionals, and healthcare workers, among others, it is a complete mobile computing tool with touch screen capabilities. It is available for $2099 in the US. International customers can purchase it through authorised international reseller eXpansys at expansys.com. MCC Marketing Private Ltd, an MCC Group company, has come out with the GZ-MG 20, JVC's Everio series hard disk camcorder, in India. Priced at Rs 46,900, the camcorder does not require any tape or disc for recording, says the company. When connected to a computer via USB2.0, it can play, edit and store data, burn it to a DVD, upload it to the Internet or take prints, it says.
