Network trouble

My system was working fine until recently, when I was unable to open any Web site inspite of the system displaying this message: `LAN connected at 100mbps'.

A couple of days after this, the desktop showed the message, `network cable unplugged.'

The port on my computer was blinking blinks on connecting, which means the cable connection is fine. What is causing this trouble? Please suggest a solution.

Satyendra Singh Thakur
