Numbers into words in Excel

Is it possible to convert numbers into words in Excel, for example, 10,230 into Ten Thousand Two Hundred and thirty?

MANJUNATHA B.S.

It is possible to convert numbers (Indian Rupees) into words by using Add-ins. For this, first download one of the addins cited below and save it to any folder or preferably Excel Add-ins folder on your computer. Now open Microsoft Excel and click Tools - Add-ins. Click Browse button and navigate to the Add-in file that you downloaded and click ok.

The following are some freely available add-ins on the Internet. Click "Indian Rupees"( instindwds.zip) of size 20KB, can be downloaded from http:// in.geocities.com/shahshaileshs/addins.htm Download "SureshAddIn" of Size 44KB from the following URL: http:// www.dq.winsila.com/tips-tricks/an-exceladdin- to-show-currency-in-indian-formatand- words.html
