Tired of sending SMSs from your mobile phone? Also, sending messages from the cell-phone can take a toll on your fingers as well as pocket.

For the weary ones, here are some portals that offer to take the tedium, and some cost, out of SMSing.

www.Net2mobiles.com portal offers a free Net-to-Mobile SMS service. All you have to do is register yourself in the Web site and the site sends the password to your cell-phone for log-in.

In a jiffy, you can send free SMS anywhere in India, from the Web, up to a maximum of 140 characters.

The portal gives options such as sending messages to single number, multiple numbers and group. You can also see the sent messages.

You will also find many other useful tools, such as Template (your own pre-written messages), Add Contact and Group lists. Apart from this, it also has option of changing mobile number.

Is it possible to send SMS without registering in the portals? Yes, some portals provide instant message facility that requires no registration.

www.atrochatro.com is one such service provider. Here, there is no registration formality. This ‘Net-to-Mobile’ service lets you send messages to mobile phones that use various cellular networks in India.
