Website Review Industry & Economy - Health Positive step against AIDS Paromita Pain There was a time when we associated the word AIDS with the economically deprived or those with less access to education. Today we know AIDS is on the rise among white collar workers. At a time when corporate India is gearing to meet what probably will be its largest health concern, Population Services international (PSI) has come up with an interactive platform, www.positivenegative.in, to create awareness about HIV/AIDS. Open to general public as well as corporates, the site encourages participants to enact simple scripts or create simple videos on the issue and upload their wok on the site. People can enact their own impressions either with a team or solo, from their offices or home. This is a video sharing Web site where people can upload their videos free of cost. Out of all the entries, the best videos will be shortlisted and awarded. PSI wishes to indicate the different hues of HIV, and remove the negative connotation attached to it, through the site, says Atul Kapoor - Project Director, PSI Connect. The site, easy to navigate, is a storehouse of information on HIV/AIDS. Besides information on where and how to get tested, it also answers crucial questions regarding the need for spreading awareness. The FAQs section is comprehensive and has answers that we always want to ask regarding the issue but never do. HR departments of 300 companies are being approached by PSI to generate more awareness. This will be an opportunity for the corporates to show they care. paromita.pain@gmail.com
