A Prodigy launch


Prodigy Electronics has announced the release of its Handheld Industrial Computer PE-HIC, powered by Samsung ARM9 processor and ported with Linux 2.6 operating system. The PE-HIC is available in two models: Basic Model and Printer Model, says the company. Its application areas include: Public Transit - fare collection, ticketing and inspection; Financial Inclusion – rural teller machine, micro-financing; Government Agencies – Immigration, Police and Road Transport authorities. It can also be used in RFID-based tracking in the logistics industry. Prodigy is headquartered in Hong Kong, has in-house design centres in Hong Kong and India, and manufacturing centre in South China.
