What gadgets do you use?

Besides the regular gadgets like Fujitsu water proof tablet, Fujitsu Laptop, I am an extensive user of Blackberry Bold. I indulged in a DSLR camera, Kindle and an iPad that keeps me in touch with my hobbies.

Which is the latest gadget you picked up?

A water proof Fujitsu smartphone, which connects even while immersed in water.

What is your dream machine?

An easy to wear device which can sense an emergency either through voice or heartbeat of the person and in turn can trigger a call for help. With increasing rate of nuclear families most of the ageing generation is at the mercy of external help, which may not always be reliable. In addition it will be a security feature for most the female employees who need to commute or travel frequently.

What do you not like about technology?

Technology takes away the most primal need of human beings, the need to spend time with each other, understand emotions and feelings.

Which apps are you addicted to?

I don’t really get much time to spend on these apps, due to my current work style. BBM is something I frequently use.

One funny/ nostalgic anecdote relating to tech (or the lack of it)

Recently my daughter introduced me to a game on the Fujitsu tablet just before going to bed at around 10 pm. She was highly excited at the prospect of teaching me something and I took all efforts to learn it quickly. I relive those moments of seeing the pride she felt when she realized how good a teacher she was.

What’s the biggest tech disaster according to you?

Unfortunately, technology does not differentiate very well on the intent of the user. The same technology that makes our life easy, can be used by terrorists to create havoc in the world.

One instance where technology solved your problem

Been in one of the world’s most reputed technology company, technology is the key element of the solution to all my problems at work on a daily basis.
