Physical rubber prices finished unchanged on Monday taking cues from weak domestic and international futures. Sheet rubber was quoted steady at Rs 191.50 a kg at Kottayam and Kochi, according to traders and the Rubber Board.
The October series weakened to Rs 190.30 (192.92), November to Rs 189.20 (191.75) and December to Rs 189.22 (192.21) a kg on the National Multi Commodity Exchange.
RSS 3 (spot) declined to Rs 170.37 (173.39) a kg at Bangkok. The September futures expired at ¥240 (Rs 164.52) , while the October futures dropped to ¥250.8 (Rs 171.94) from ¥254 during the day session, but then remained inactive in the night session on the Tokyo Commodity Exchange.
Spot rates were (Rs/kg): RSS-4: 191.50 (191.50); RSS-5: 186 (186); ungraded: 179 (179); ISNR 20: 176 (176) and latex 60 per cent: 130 (130).
