The IT industry functioned normally with attendance in major IT companies varying from 80-90 per cent in the IT hub here during the bandh called by the NDA and Left parties today.

Eighty to ninety per cent attendance was reported in TCS, Cognizant, PricewaterhouseCoopers, sources said.

NASSCOM Head (East) Suparno Maitra said: “I am happy to inform you that IT industry in West Bengal has overcome all odds to function normally.”

Wipro Technologies, which had declared an all-India holiday, will work on Saturday, its spokesman said.
