Education software company Core Projects & Technologies has acquired UK-based ITN Mark Education for about $ 25 million.

The $35-million ITN Mark Education is a national provider that specialises in education recruitment for teachers, nursery and support staff, said a Core Projects release. This acquisition will allow Core Projects to enter the business of supplying teachers and teaching assistants in markets such as the US where Core already has significant presence and relationships with some of the largest schools systems, Mr Sanjeev Mansotra, Chairman and Managing Director of the company, said in the release.

“ITN Mark comes with a customer base of 1,600 schools, enabling our existing UK and US business units to cross-sell their products to these schools. This synergy will positively impact the overall profitability of the combined businesses,” he said.

ITN Mark has been acquired through Core's UK-based subsidiary Ochre House.
