Online retailer of event tickets and sports accessories KyaZoonga said that it will hire around 60 people to reach up to 100 employees by this year-end.

“We hire laterally from the likes of PVR Cinema, Hindustan Unilever, sports and other online companies. We have also hired fresh graduates from top institutions such as the Indian Institute of Technology, Indian Institute of Management and Faculty of Management Studies,” Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer Neetu Bhatia said

She claimed that the company’s revenue is currently growing at a compounded annual growth rate of around 70 per cent, but did not substantiate it with actual numbers.

She said the company would require people in all verticals, including technical, management or marketing.

On asked about competition in the market with companies such as Crazeal that recently started selling movie tickets and the likes of Expedia, which is big in selling travel tickets, she said KyaZoonga does not fear any competition for at least the next two years.

“It will take someone that much time or longer to devise a full ticketing system. It’s not easy. It requires a special set of technologies and deep knowledge of how ticketing technology works,” Bhatia said.
