Extreme Networks Inc, a Nasdaq-listed company, has entered into a strategic global reseller alliance with Lenovo, PC maker and provider of technology solutions to global businesses. Lenovo will provide its campus, data centre and cloud customers with infrastructure addressing data centre and cloud initiatives.

Lenovo’s focus on enterprise-grade manageability, open standards and business critical reliability will be enhanced with networking solutions from Extreme Networks. As part of the reseller agreement, Lenovo and its network of channel partners will address customers in more than 60 countries, by reselling a converged infrastructure solution for compute, networking and storage facilities.

“Addressing customer needs for cloud and data centre today hinges on integrating the network stack with proven solutions for computing, storage and networking,'' said Darrel Ward, Vice-President of Marketing, Lenovo Enterprise Products Group, in a statement.

Eileen Brooker, vice president of strategic alliances for Extreme Networks added: ``This global go-to-market partnership for servers, storage and switching aims to help customers deploy high performance systems that are reliable, fast and scalable.''
