Informatica Corporation will recruit 200 staffers in India to take the total number of employees to 1,000.

The Nasdaq-listed company provides solutions to firms to pool up data from different centres in one place in order to run analytic tools. Analytics would provide intelligence to companies in banking, manufacturing and retail sectors from the data they collect over a period of time.

“We have 680 employees in Bangalore and 120 in Hyderabad research and development centres. We are selling our products in India,” Ravindra Akella, Vice-President (R&D) of Informatica, said.

Talking to newspersons here on Friday to mark the completion of 10 years of operations in India, he said the company had tie-ups with institutes like IIT (Bombay) and BITS Pilani and offers internships to students.

The company clocked revenues of $1 billion last year of which the Asia-Pacific region contributed to about 15 per cent. It has about 70 customers including HDFC, Tata Motors and ICICI in India.
