Tata Consulting Engineers Ltd (TCE) has acquired Ecofirst Services Pvt Ltd, a joint venture between Milestone Capital Advisors Ltd and J. Leon Group (UK). Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Following the acquisition, Ecofirst becomes TCE’s wholly-owned subsidiary, the company said in a statement.

TCE, a subsidiary of Tata Sons (holding company for Tata group firms), is an engineering consultancy solutions provider. Ecofirst provides design consultancy in sustainability solutions for the building environment.

“Ecofirst’s sustainable solutions will gain traction and alignment as part of TCE in driving sustainable practices. I welcome the Ecofirst team to TCE and into the Tata fold,” said F.N. Subedar, new Chairman of Ecofirst Services and Director of TCE.

“We at Ecofirst are excited about the larger canvas of business that opens up by being part of TCE and in extension, we are also conscious of the responsibility that comes with our association with the Tata Group,” said Chitranjan Kaushik, Chief Operating Officer of Ecofirst Services.

Tata Consulting Engineers’ current portfolio of services will be enhanced with the total sustainability solutions from Ecofirst thereby facilitating a holistic approach to building green environment. The Ecofirst acquisition institutionalises TCE’s commitment to incorporating green technologies and sustainability into the business.
