IndiGo has introduced daily and direct flights connecting Chennai with Singapore from March 1.

IndiGo will offer introductory all inclusive return fare of Rs 15,998 on the new flight.

Aditya Ghosh, President, IndiGo, said: “There are strong trade and tourism ties between South India and Singapore and travellers have requirements of low fares by an Indian airline. We are also exploring flight operations to Singapore from Hyderabad and Bangalore in near future.”

India's largest airline with a market share of 27.3 per cent (as of November, 2012), IndiGo operates 373 daily flights, connecting 33 destinations. The airline recently announced its international flights from Delhi to Bangkok, Dubai, Kathmandu and Singapore as well as from Mumbai to Bangkok, Dubai, Muscat and Singapore. The first international flight commenced on September 1 last year.
