A second foot overbridge was inaugurated at Mangalore Central Railway Station on Monday.

Nalin Kumar Kateel, Member of Parliament from Mangalore, said on the occasion that the overbridge has been constructed at a cost of Rs 75 lakh to connect platforms 1, 2 and 3.

The three-metre-wide overbridge has a steel structure with concrete pathway. It is provided with non-slippery ceramic tiles in steps and pathways.

The roof is covered with galvanised aluminium sheets, he said. Piyush Agarwal, Divisional Railway Manager, Palakkad division, Southern Railway, was present.
