Subrat Tripathy has taken over as the Chief Operating Officer of Dhamra Port Company Ltd (DPCL), the Tata Steel-L&T joint venture that owns and operates a bulk-handling port at Dhamra, Odisha.

A 1988 batch officer of the Indian Railway Traffic Service, Tripathy quit the Railways to join DPCL. Earlier, the Railways had sent him on deputation to Paradip port where he served for five years — first as Deputy Chairman and then with the additional charge of the Chairman.
