Singapore-based urban and business space provider Ascendas-Singbridge on Saturday announced the launch of International Tech Park Gurgaon (ITPG).

Tharman Shanmugaratnam, Deputy Prime Minister, Singapore said, “With all the investors and partners, our aim is to set a benchmark with this IT park in India and the world. Our whole approach is that it would be suitable for international businesses and not just contribute towards jobs but also environment.”

Located in Gurgaon, the 60-acre IT park will provide 8 million square feet of business space that can serve to an estimated 60,000 professionals after its completion, the company said.

Phase 1, which comprises two buildings, will offer 1 million square feet of business space. According to the company, the first building in this phase would be completed by the fourth quarter of 2017.

Manohar Khiatani, CEO, Deputy Group, Ascendas-Singbridge, said: “ITPG will be our eighth IT park in India and we are convinced that this development will enhance the attractiveness of the NCR and help create quality jobs.’’

ITPG with a project size of $400 million, comes under the Ascendas India Growth Programme, that was established in 2013, with Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund GIC Pte Ltd as a principal investor.

Besides business space, the IT park would consist of conveniences such as food courts, banking and transport.
