ASUS has chalked out its plans to double its market share in the smartphone segment in India from the present 2.5 per cent, Peter Chang, Region Head, South Asia and Country Manager ASUS India has said.
The company is also looking at increasing its share in the laptop segment from 10 per cent to 15 per cent.
Speaking to mediapersons on the sidelines of an event here, he said that the company would continue to look at contract manufacturing in India.
ASUS has been quite insistent on strengthening and establishing its extensions in Tier-2 and Tier-3 towns. The company has opened more than 120 exclusive stores, which would be increased to 200.
“We are committed to provide innovative products that offer excellent quality, reliability and performance for the ultimate life-enhancing and computing experience,” Chang said.
Targeting the young generation, the company sells smartphones with brand name Zenfone in the price range of ₹5,299-40,000.
