NYSE-listed EPAM Systems, a product development and software engineering solutions firm, has acquired test automation and software product development firm Alliance Global Services for a consideration of $50 million.

“The acquisition extends the company’s Global Delivery Platform by adding strong solution delivery capabilities in North America and in India and expanding EPAM’s expertise in software engineering productivity and automation services,” EPAM Chief Executive Officer Arkadiy Dobkin has said.

Announcing the acquisition here on Thursday, he said Alliance Global Services had about 1,100 design, testing and product development engineers at its Hyderabad and Pune facilities. Their addition would help EPAM strengthen its capabilities.

"The alignment between Alliance Global and EPAM is a strategic fit. India’s rich engineering IT talent pool allows us to further expand our delivery capabilities and support our continued growth," he said.
