Huawei has launched its Global Service Centre (GSC) to help its customers IT infrastructure. This GSC has the capacity for 5,000 employees. Currently, it has around 2,500 employees working in the centre. Talking to BusinessLine , Jay Chen, CEO of Huawei India, said the technical talent pool coupled with India’s position as one of the bright spots in the global macroeconomic scenario is one of the reasons for the company to open its largest service centre.

Broadly, this centre will offer combined services of a Global Network Operation Centre, network integration services, network planning and technology integration for telecom companies.

Further, this GSC will work with its R&D centre, according to company executives. Chen also added that this effort is a part of its “Make in India' initiative, wherein the company will look to align both hardware and software services and reaffirms the company's commitment to the country.
