Is automation killing jobs? Is it the reason for poor intake of employees by IT firms? Top executives from several IT firms argue that it is only a paradigm shift in the nature of jobs and that people should be made aware of the change.
In order to focus on the changes that are happening in the IT sector, Outwit Outplay Events and Entertainments is organising the four-day event AIR (Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things and Robotics) Summit in Hyderabad from October 10. Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, Madhukar Krishna Goyal, Managing Director of Outwit Outplay Events and Entertainments, said there was nothing to fear about the reports on fall in the number of jobs. “In fact, the nature of jobs is changing. It’s only a shift of jobs,” he said.
The Summit will discuss challenges and opportunities for entrepreneurs and job seekers as the technology space undergoes a major shift.
Karuna Gopal, President of Futuristic Cities, said the technologies that were being used in smart cities projects were very basic and nascent. “What we are using is sensor-based technologies. But we can bring in technologies backed by Artificial Intelligence to provide better services,” she said.
