Infosys has launched Skava Commerce, an e-commerce platform for retailers.
Skava, is a Silicon Valley based e-commerce startup which was acquired by Infosys. The platform can help brick-and-mortar retailers to quickly launch new offerings, improve conversion rates of traffic coming from digital channels, amongst other things, without making large investments upfront, the company said in a statement.
Further, the platform can integrate with existing technologies, while providing a future-ready architecture that will enable next generation shopping experiences leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning, natural language processing and virtual reality (VR), the statement added.
The platform also includes an out-of-the-box mobile-first responsive web store and native mobile shopping applications that can be managed by non-technical business users through SkavaSTUDIO – a web-based experience management tool.
For retailers who are building their own platform, Skava is offering a source code license of its platform or specific microservices with an aim to accelerate retailers' journey, and save time, money and yet have full control and ownership through the source code license. eom
