The Global Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is going to be a key issue when global cyber security experts will gather here on December 14 and 15 for the Cyber Security Conference.
Besides GDPR compliance, the conference would also focus on protecting critical infrastructure and digital economy, cyber defence, capacity building and incident response.
“Israel companies are ready to collaborate with the Indian IT firms to enable them to be GDPR compliant well before the regulation takes effect on May 25,” Eli Zilberman, partner of cyber security consulting firm Konfidas, has said.
He said the industry needed to put in serious efforts to be GDPR ready. “Several Israeli companies have the tools and technologies to assist in the process,” he said.
Addressing a press conference here, Prema Zilberman, General Manager of Kenes Exhibitions, said over 50 international industry experts and representatives from Verizon, Qualcomm, Rafael Defense Systems and DRDL would take part in the conference.
