The Kerala High Court has admitted a writ petition asking the government to look into the violations of online marketplace retailers such as Flipkart, Amazon, Snapdeal with respect to FDI being received by these companies.
The petition has been filed by a Mobile Retailers Association, who has alleged they would be wiped out from the market due to super financial strength of these online retailers.
The association has alleged that online retailers are using these foreign investments to provide predatory discounts to consumer with the view to artificially increase the Gross Merchandise Value being transacted on their platforms.
