Alibaba-backed online retailer Paytm Mall has introduced QR code-based model to improve the sales of automobile dealers on its platform.
It has tied up with over 1,000 auto dealers to enable them with Paytm Mall QR codes which help them reach out to customers across the country through the online channel.
The dealers can use Paytm Mall QR codes in print advertisements, outdoor installations or BTL (below-the-line) marketing materials to drive sales or test-drive leads. The company provides offline and online shops with Paytm Mall QR code solution, where consumers will be able to scan and place an order.
Amit Sinha, Chief Operating Officer, Paytm Mall, said: “We are looking to further enhance the effectiveness of our platform by offering Paytm Mall QR codes to our partners. Local dealerships can now leverage our massive QR network to get the most out of their promotional budgets with customised marketing activities and round-the-clock sales opportunities. This will help individual outlets drive incremental traffic and expand their businesses.”
Close to 50 per cent of all bookings on the platform so far have been from Tier II and III cities. The facility is available across 150 cities.
