TCS unveils street-lighting solution

TCS on Monday said it has created a solution that will cut payback on expensive LED lights by half.

The software cuts energy consumption using self-learning algorithms and will reduce the typical 4-5-year payback on the lights to just 2-3 years, the firm said.

The intelligent urban exchange for adaptive street-light optimisation will also enable cities to jump start smart city projects in other domains, such as water and transportation, by leveraging smart street-light wide area networks and a common data analytics platform.
