United Technologies Corporation (UTC), the US-based firm that provides technology products and services to the building and aerospace industries, has set up a video analytics lab at the T-Hub.

The firm will showcase its products at the laboratory to start-ups and other firms that might want to integrate their services with UTC’s.

“The US firm has its largest research and design centre for Commercial Businesses in Hyderabad. “The launch of the lab will help us leverage innovative solutions for the benefit of our customers,” John Galbraith, Vice-President (Global Engineering: Climate, Controls and Security) of UTC, has said.

Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday after launching the lab at T-Hub’s Gachibowli facility, he said besides helping the start-ups in the video analytics space to develop products and services. They could integrate those products and services with UTC’s products.

The start-ups might also be offered go-to-market help from the US firm.

Prakash Bodla, Vice-President (Engineering and Centre Head, Hyderabad) of UTC, said that the firm was short-listing start-ups in the T-Challenge. Besides taking them for the cohort as part of the challenge, UTC would offer them to work in the video analytics lab.

Rama Iyer, Senior Vice-President of the tech incubator T-Hub, said the start-ups would get expert support from UTC at the lab. He said T-Challenge would be an annual event.
