Storage technology and solutions major Western Digital has introduced a new range of mobile memory solutions suite.
The new products include: SanDisk Ultra Dual USB Drive 3.0 for On-the-Go (OTG) enabled smart phone and tablet users looking to free up space and transfer photos and videos to a computer has been launched in 128 GB capacity. Android device users can download and install SanDisk Memory Zone app, available for free through Google Play Store app.
The company has launched refreshed versions of the SanDisk flash drive for iPhone and iPad. The new iXpand storage device has been designed to help free up space (on iPhone and iPad) with up to 128 GB of additional capacity. The drive is compatible with iPhone 5, 6, 6Plus, 5S, iPhone SE and 5c, iPad Pro, Air and Air 2, mini, 2, 3, 4 and iPod touch (5th generation) running iOS 8.2 or later.
Another new product is the 200 GB SanDisk Connect Wireless Stick; this works like a wireless LAN, enables management of content between devices including iPhone, iPad, Android devices, Fire tablets and PCs – via a password-protected Wi-Fi connectivity. The app has been updated to support sharing of content on large displays.
Jaganathan Chelliah, Director (Marketing) - SanDisk brand for Western Digital, Chelliah, said that the company has introduced these products in 20 cities with a plan to take it to more cities this year. “We foresee huge opportunity to grow the mobile storage solutions portfolio in India and strengthen our presence.”
