Wipro has partnered with Microsoft Accelerator, to provide start-ups with greater opportunities to innovate and grow their business.
This announcement was made at the accelerator’s flagship event — Think Next 2016 which marked the graduation of 13 start-ups from its ninth cohort.
Accelerator programmesWipro will also refer select start-ups for Microsoft Accelerator programmes and events, company executives said.
As per this partnership, referred start-ups will get access to Wipro Open Innovation initiatives, an opportunity to integrate their solutions with select Wipro solutions, access to customers and some marketing support from India's third largest software exporter.
The partnership with Wipro allows us to leverage our combined strengths and market reach to provide a new level of market access for start-ups, said Bala Girisaballa, CEO-In- Residence, Microsoft Accelerator.
KR Sanjiv, Chief Technology Officer, Wipro, said the company has built strong connects in the global start-up ecosystem, over the last three years, as part of its focus on building new open innovation capabilities.
