Stock Markets Markets - Stock Markets On the move G. Madhan
IVRCL Infrastructures (Rs 129) - The stock rose 13 per cent on bagging an order worth Rs 536.8 crore to execute a water supply project for the Andhra Pradesh Government. IndusInd Bank (Rs 38) - The stock appreciated 11.5 per cent on acquiring its group company, Ashok Leyland Finance (ALF). ALF also gained 12.7 per cent during the week. UTI Bank (Rs 109) - The stock surged 30 per cent after HSBC unveiled its plans to acquire 20.08 per cent equity stake in two tranches in the bank. Digital GlobalSoft (Rs 744) - The stock rose 13.3 per cent on the back of its parent, Hewlett-Packard's proposal to make an open offer to all the minority shareholders. L G Balakrishnan (Rs 410) - The stock appreciated 20.6 per cent on the back of an imminent bonus issue and a stock split. Lyka Labs (Rs 64) - The stock rose 60.8 per cent, on the back of good earning growth prospects. Castrol India (Rs 222) - The stock rose 14.3 per cent on market talks of a possible open offer by its parent. Sesa Goa (Rs 500) - The stock of this iron ore exporter appreciated 13.3 per cent on the back of firm iron ore prices. Tata Honeywell (Rs 362) - The stock of this industrial engineering company rose 31.7 per cent on the back of robust order book position. Goldstone Teleservices (Rs 9) - The stock of this telecom component manufacturer rose 23 per cent on initiatives to manufacture new products for the energy industry. Maars Software (Rs 14) - The stock fell 13 per cent following administration proceedings started against its UK subsidiary on creditor complaints. However, the company claimed it had made full provisions against this investment in its books.
