Tamil Nadu cuts power tariffs

Tamil Nadu has reduced the electricity tariffs for domestic consumers with effect from June 16. The new tariffs will be lower by 32-42 per cent across different slabs, as the cut ranges between Rs 0.35 and Rs 1.70 a unit.
